Strengthened Wind Industry Brings Back Production Tax Credits

The United States wind industry began 2013 reflecting on its strongest year ever and celebrating with a bang as Congress passed an extension on the federal production tax credit (PTC).

AWEA reports that in 2012, wind energy became the number one source of new U.S. electric generating capacity, providing 42% of all new capacity.  The industry installed 13,124 MW and took on new customers in the industrial and commercial sectors.
